Billerica's 250th Anniversary Committee spent its final full meeting untangling 16 backlogged sets of minutes and a dispute over member Kelley Sardina's status. Chair Christopher Sennott and Treasurer Diana Saunders walked the panel through corrections including a donor misidentified as "Northern Banking Trust" instead of Stoneham Bank, and disputed costs for an elm tree planted as the group's "Liberty Tree." Sardina, citing a sudden kidney-transplant opportunity, said her request to postpone the meeting was denied and insisted she never resigned: "You don't have a letter of resignation from me." The treasurer's report showed $123,501.07 in revenue against $83,487.81 in expenses, a $40,013.26 net balance, plus disputed raffle proceeds routed through the nonprofit Yankee Doodle Committee. Three members will continue the committee's work through October 31, including finalizing a time capsule at a September 15 meeting, while the rest of the ten-member panel's terms lapse August 31.
