Billerica sports roundup, July 20 to July 26

BILLERICA -- Youth sports organizations in town are turning their attention to registration for the 2026-27 year, even as the summer break continues.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Billerica Youth Soccer Association (BYSA) announced that registration for its Fall 2026 In-Town program is open, with programs available for players from Pre-K (entering kindergarten in fall 2027) through 8th grade. BYSA said the in-town programs are for in-town play only, with travel invitations to be sent separately to players who participated in tryouts. BYSA also noted that Massachusetts Youth Soccer formally approved the organization's petition to move from the Middlesex Youth Soccer League to the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League, effective with fall 2026 play; BYSA said it would work through the conversion process with Nashoba Valley administrators over the summer.

The Billerica Hockey Association listed "Billerica Hockey Registration 2026-27" among its recent news postings, indicating registration for the coming hockey season has opened; the organization did not provide further details on fees or deadlines in the material reviewed.

No Billerica High School contests were listed for the period, and Billerica Little League and Billerica Youth Basketball did not report new schedule, score, or registration activity for this week.
