Billerica Board of Assessors Approves Months of Backlogged Meeting Minutes

BILLERICA — May 22, 2025 — Billerica Board of Assessors clears a months-long backlog of unapproved meeting minutes at a brief May 22 session. Chair John Spidell and Associate Rick Ladd, the only two members present, unanimously approved four sets of minutes — covering a March 7 regular session, an executive session of undetermined date, an April 17 regular session, and an April 28 regular session — each on a voice vote with no discussion of substance. Spidell noted at the outset that members may approve minutes from meetings they did not attend "as long as they look okay." No abatement hearings, assessment actions, or financial items were taken up, and the meeting adjourned in under ten minutes.
