E Ink Expands Billerica Headquarters Operations

BILLERICA — Taiwan-based E Ink Corp. is expanding operations at its Billerica headquarters, according to a report from Area Development, reinforcing the town's role as home to a global leader in electronic paper display technology.

TOWN HALL E Ink, the electronic paper technology company headquartered in Billerica, plans to grow its local operations, Area Development reported. Further details on the scope of the expansion, including any hiring or construction plans, were not immediately available.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Billerica Public Library has two events on tap this week. Family Friends of the Library hosts an Ice Cream Social on Tuesday, July 28, at 6 p.m., and Mass Audubon returns to the library on Thursday, July 30, at 7 p.m., for "Joys of Birdfeeding," a talk on backyard bird feeding; registration is required.

Both events fold into a busy library summer that kicked off its Summer Reading Challenge for children, teens and adults on June 22 and continues to host the Masshire Lowell Mobile Career Center in the library's parking lot every Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The library's Family Friends group is also selling reusable bags for $10 each at the circulation desk while supplies last, with proceeds supporting library programs and museum pass offerings.
