Billerica Select Board to Vote on Town Manager Search Firm Contract

BILLERICA — May 20, 2025 — Billerica Acting Town Manager previews Select Board vote on town manager search firm and Memorial Day events. Acting Town Manager Chris Dillon, in a May 20 Town Hall Weekly video address, outlined three items before the Select Board that evening: an election of a vice chair left vacant during the board's earlier officer slate, a contract vote to engage an executive search firm recommended by the Town Manager Screening Committee, and a discussion and possible vote on a Planning Department grant to study properties in the town's technology corridor. Dillon named no firms, dollar figures, or grant sources. On the Memorial Day schedule, the Veterans Affairs office has organized flag placements at multiple cemeteries throughout the week, a Sunday morning visit to all memorials departing the Pinehurst VFW at 8 a.m., and a Monday observance at Fox Hill Cemetery at 10 a.m. featuring 500 roses followed by a noon ceremony at the Billerica Public Library.
