Billerica Library Closes July 3–5 for Independence Day Holiday Weekend
The Billerica Public Library is reminding residents of a multi-day closure around the Independence Day holiday just as its summer reading challenge hits its first full week.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The library will be closed Friday, July 3, and will remain closed through Sunday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. Regular summer hours — Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — resume Monday, July 6.
The closure comes one week into the library's Summer Reading Challenge, which launched June 22 and runs for all ages — children, teens, and adults. Residents looking to sign up or log reading progress should plan around the holiday gap.
Also ongoing this summer: the MassHire Lowell Mobile Career Center visits the parking lot behind the library every Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering job-seekers on-site career services without a trip into Lowell.
