BILLERICA -- August 12, 2024, Billerica Board of Health votes to keep a repeat-violation restaurant open under five strict conditions. The board unanimously ordered Purple Bamboo at 265 Boston Road to hire a new kitchen manager, retain a Board of Health-vetted food safety consultant, correct all violations cited by Health Inspector Shayla Collins, have owner Juan on site every hour the restaurant operates, and return in September with a clean report, or face potential closure.
